Bagthorpe is a small village in Ashfield close to Underwood, Westwood, and Jacksdale villages. This Nottinghamshire village is included in the Hidden Valleys area that is gorgeous countryside north of Hucknall, which has miles of waymarked rural walks, cycle paths, and bridleways. Bagthorpe has beautiful scenery and is a great stop for a drink at one of its country pubs. 

How to get there
By car: Exit at junction 27 of the M1 and take the A608 exit to Mansfield. Continue on Mansfield Road/A608 and drive to Lower Bagthorpe.
By train: Langley Mill train station (4.2 miles) or Kirkby in Ashfield station (5 miles).
