Codnor Park Reservoir is an ideal spot for hiking, cycling, fishing, dog walking, and picnics. Located in Derbyshire, the reservoir is close to the Ashfield village of Jacksdale and offers Codnor Park that is filled with greenery and wildlife. Visitors will be enchanted by the birdlife in the water including ducks, swans, and geese. The reservoir leads to the historic Cromford Canal that was an important working waterway during the industrial revolution constructed by civil engineers William Jessop and Benjamin Outram. 


How to get there
By car: Exit at junction 26 of the M1 and take the A610 exit to Nottingham/Ripley. Continue on A610 and drive to Coach Road in Derbyshire.
By train: Langley Mill train station (4.8 miles).
