Jacksdale village

Jacksdale is a great place to spend a few hours with shops, a garden centre, cafes, restaurants, and a green space with a playground at Jacksdale Park. Erewash Nature Reserve and the nearby Cromford Canal are both picturesque destinations to have a walk or cycle ride, and discover the wildlife including water voles and kingfishers. This historic mining village is located on the border of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, within the Hidden Valleys area in beautiful countryside north of Hucknall, with miles of waymarked rural walks, cycle paths, and bridleways.

How to get there
By car: Exit at junction 27 of the M1 and take the A608 exit to Mansfield. Follow A608 and Main Road to Jacksdale.
By train: Alfreton train station (4.4 miles) or Kirkby in Ashfield station (5.5 miles).
